For many, joining Nifty 60s was a turning point. Phyllis Calvert, a longtime participant, recalls how she struggled with painful legs and limited mobility before joining. Her doctor suggested it was just “wear and tear,” but through exercise and engagement in the group, she regained her ability to walk without the need for knee surgery.

“The NHS will benefit because fewer people will fall and require hospital treatment. That’s what our goal is, and we’re winning.”
